Maybe if I ran Amsoil Gasoline, the valve wouldn't have burnt.

Naw, it's that big right foot in the drivers seat.

Just messin' with ya. I am a true believer. I need to dig through the archives and find a pic of my 5.7 that I pulled the intake and valve covers off at 210K with Valvoline SynTech.
Oh hell, I know. Pulled the cover to make sure I didn't have a broke spring, fucking engine is spotless inside. I was really impressed, not surprised but impressed that it was as clean as it is. Even with a dead hole..

Does look nice and clean!

Just out of curiosity though someone should post pics of the same engine (or any LS and even one running on 8 cylinders would be acceptable as well) running dino oil and another running a different synthetic to compare to, following recommended oil changes. Just to see the difference. I know they all show things but I tend to be skeptical of the stuff the company that sells one of them claims and shows.

My iOil is clean, clear, odorless and not the slightest bit oily. It's revolutionary. Shit's so good I don't even need valve covers at all.

I need to get some of that. Is it available in the app store or do you have to jail break to get it? :D

Damn, that's clean. I bought my truck with 68K on it. It's been living on synthetic ever since, and it will have 119K on it in around 20 more miles.

I'm sure it's just as clean inside, synthetic oil and routine changes are the key.
