Well I have been drooling over Mblouir's results from his thread. So I ordered all the stuff he listed that was in stock at the time:lol: I cleared out a few places out of here and finally did a big order through AUTODETAILINGSOLUTIONS

*** Side Note on ADS. I noticed that Detailer's Domain had a deal and I emailed Rick and he said he would match it I bought $300 Dollars worth of stuff from him he included more MF than I ordered and He through in some detailing sponges and more goodies!! Well all said and done Rick is a great guy I have emailed him several times asking about new products and he emails me back within the hour everytime great customer service and that is the only place I'm gonna order my stuff through.***

Well I haven't started my Spring Detail quite yet, but I practiced my Paint Correction Skills today after work with what little light I had. I followed all of Mblouir's steps in his thread HERE

I used the Porter Cable 7424xp with Meguiar's M105 & M205 and washed & clayed the truck. I did his steps I won't list them out you can read his detailed thread. But here are my results I couldn't capture the swirlmarks that well with the low light but here are some pictures. I will be doing my Full Detail next Monday & Tuesday (Spring Break) Stay Tuned!

Nice man! Yeah it's really hard to capture swirl marks, even on black, so I can imagine how hard it would be to show them on your truck. Try using some halogen lamps or something similar to shine the truck with. Then use the manual focus on your D80 to take a few shots, slightly adjusting the focus each time. One of them is bound to have good results.

One thing you didn't mention....since it's hard to take pics of--how well did it work?

 Oh yeah, It worked great! My pucker factor went sky high when I started working it in  I really notice how great the PC really is Junkman2000 on youtube made a good video on how the PC CANNOT burn paint. I had little hair line scratches that were in that square too, YOu have to look extremely hard to see them  All in all it worked really well. You can really see how the PC works on the paint. It just takes some patience and let the PC do the work I can't wait to do the whole truck! :wookie:

Cool man glad to hear it! Yeah it's intimidating at first but once you do it you are set. From your first time it's just getting better and better each time you use it. Yeah that video by Junkman is great (if I'm thinking of the same one--where he has the little kid use it).

yeah that one and when he pushes down on it trying to stop it on his nice Blue Camaro...he says if he did it with a Flex he would have burned the paint down to the base coat

I need to get me one of those PC and do my truck. If the results are anywhere near what you described than the truck must be coming along great, good work!
