240SX are all whored out and worn out by now by the ricer crowds. Not a good used car buy for sure... the KA24 has serious higher mileage timing chain issues that get really expensive to fix too...

well today was a fucking waste of time.
found an 04 maxima with 79,000 miles for 11,500 out the door at the dealer
told him I would be back tomorrow (they just got it in on trade today)
dude says 26mpg city and 30 highway... he was SOO wrong 18mpg city and 26 highway acording to fuel economy.gov I wasn't expecting him to be right but to blatantly lie like that pisses me off. Then I googled reported problems with the maxima and the year 2004 has 67 reported problems. All the other model years are around 5-25 reported problems

I was going to book it but that's insane considering out of the last decade this is the worst model year to get.

posted another ad on craigslist looking for a good mileage car that seats a big man like myself. we'll see if anything else pops up at my friends dealer.

If you just want a commuter get a fWONkin Corolla. It's essentially a 4-wheel motorcycle, but works as it should be expected...
