Xterra Amsoil 0w30 Update

Thanks for keep us posted! I just ordered a sample kit from Terry for the Acadia. This will be it's first one since we bought it this past Sept.

Update

Still haven't sent in the sample yet. With the holidays over I've been doing some work at my dads since he is home for a month. Car now has a little over 13k miles since full oil change and Appears to be doing just fine. I hope to be sending out the sample soon.

Man, at that mileage and given the silicon levels of the prior sample, I would be FedExing that sample out

I just took the new Acadia's first sample and will be getting it in the mail tomorrow. Since it is so new and breakin still going on this sample is on OE and at 4,500 miles on it. Our 08 Acadia couldn't go past 5k on an oil change even using the Signature Series so it will be interesting to see how this one holds out. These 3.6l DI engines are hard on oil.

Wow, Nick! I did not send out the OE when I changed to XL I will do it when the light comes on this time. Lots of idle time now that we are below zero.

I don't think you have any worries. The 3.6l in the Lambda platform is a unique breed. With its VVT and DI it just plays hard on the oil.

My dad gained a couple MPG on the highway switching from the dealership oil to Amsoil

So far, seems to be holding up well!
