When did they start using plastic in the side view mirrors? I have a habit to use a razor blade on my glass to clean the crud off, well I razored my 2011 Silverado today and the damn side mirrors scratched all to hell!:ohnoes:

I guess I'll be looking for some new ones soon.:( With Red caps!
I bet there is an Adams product that will buff those scratches out. :tmc:

I just looked at mine. They are glass. I can see the edge of it plainly.

I clean glass with razor blades all the time. Home and auto.

Sucks that happened but I gotta ask WTF? I have never scraped anything on a car/truck with a razor blade. :confused:
I worked in a glass shop years ago and got in the habit of doing it. Get's them clean of the bug guts, tree sap and water spots. Go over them with windex or cleaner of your choice. Real glass will not be harmed by a steel razor blade.
