Stopped by a dealer the other day just gawking at new trucks. They had a 2010 Silverado ext. cab 5.3 with the Z71 appearance package with a leveling kit and 20" GM wheels. Took it for a test drive and it was definitely nice. With my truck traded in, I'd owe $10,000. I would give ya a link but the dealers website won't load for me :dunno:

So the only thing you really will be upgrading from your truck is a 6 speed and wheels? so is a 6 speed and 20" wheels really worth 10k?

I was in a similar situation a while back (upgrading to a '10 Denali). It wasn't worth it in my situation. Like Carl said, you are basically paying $10k for a 6 spd and wheels (and might trade those anyway). Not worth it IMO.

He is getting a leveling kit too! That might be the kicker! :D

I would say no. Not with the current economy. Stick with what you have. You never know when a job is not going to be there any longer.

You could put a 6-spd in your truck for MUCH less than 10k.
