The Superduty was a few thousand more than an identical Silverado, but it was quieter and the ride was smoother. Go test drive one if you can. I'm still blown away that the solid front diff truck rides smoother than GM's IFS.

Yeah I am going to go over there. They have a gaudy King Ranch in the short bed, but it should suffice to give me an idea

Before the most recent power train I would have said no way! I was kinda disappointed that the new Duramax was the previous body styles LML motor without a Hp/tq upgrade.

A couple of my boys have staid away from the 6.7s for their fleets because of catastrophic engine failures, dropped valves, engine coolant getting into cylinder's and radiator problems. But every make has their lemons!

The only reason some fleets are staying away from the 2015 Ford Superduty is because its a new power train and they want all the bugs out first.

Driving the 2015 Duramax and superduty in the same day, the Chevy sure does ride better but the added horse power of the Ford is fun.

A tuned Duramax will fix that though all the way up to a 250hp tune!

Another thing is that Ford has had problems with DPF failures. One of the guys that has worked for me had a dpf go out at 8300 miles. Nothing a tune and delete won't fix!

My brother is thinking about trading his 14' Duramax on a 15'. He said he already had the tune and exhaust ordered.

If I was considering a HD truck, I would look hard at the Super Duty.

Platinum edition is a waste IMO... You can get the same options without the ugly tailgate trim.

And the reason the 2015 GM HD's drivetrain is unchanged is simple... If it's not broken, don't fix it. Which is the exact reason I'd buy an LBZ instead lol.

PS I would delete the piss tank on any new diesel ASAP, tractor I "used" to run had it and it was a pain in the ass. Trading "down" for one that doesn't have it. and isn't a red IH piece of shit. :suicide:

Now you need a diesel to cruise the strip malls instead of just a gaser HD? :dunno:

The Super Duty's have an extra suspension component the others don't that can help the ride: a frame that's as flexible as a politicians values and beliefs before elections. :jester:

It's my first time specing out a Ford, so I need to do more research. Just want all the options so I sent straight to that Platinum thing.

If the GM was an option through this work program, I would be all over it.

Hell, I'd pick the Ram over the SD just to avoid MFT.
