Would the U.S. be ready for a FWD step-van?

I have noticed a lot of comapanies here are starting to use the smaller Ford Transit Connect. I know Thyssen Krupp, who services the elevators at my work has already switched over to them. I have also seen a few with Direct TV logos on them. They look like they are slightly smaller than a Chevy Astro Van.

People here are using the Transit vans too. I saw a guy driving a modded out one the other day, it didn't look too bad either.

Sprinter is still selling well, without the Ram horns. The Daimler dealers are doing great. We have a few of them, and the little Fords. We love the Sprinter.

The sprinter is still available, Mercedes benz just took their exclusive rights to the nameplate back, stoppping Dodge and Freightliner from selling them under their banners.

Of course with a Benz emblem on it the base price is around $43000 Canadian....

There's a shit load of Astro's still running around here

I see a lot of Astros here too, but not so many of the cargo van ones used for commercial use. Most of the ones I see now are passenger vans.

It's more like a downsized WindStar/FreeStar than something in the Chevy Astro and Ford Aerostar class. BTW larger regular Transit is offered either in FWD and RWD versions. BTW in Mexico it's avaliable only in FWD while in Brazil it's only RWD.
