Thanks Jim,Scott Those links will help a lot.After further research even if the current unit was good I'd still convert to the new upgraded version.From what I read it's way more efficient and will improve the mpgs & performance so I'm gonna do it I can get all the parts for under $300.00 and my labor is free well kind of

Notice that when installing the new spider... a couple of the fuel lines have to cross over some of the other lines in a VERY SPECIFIC MANNER...
It tells about how to route the lines down close to the end of the article I posted the link to.

Notice that when installing the new spider... a couple of the fuel lines have to cross over some of the other lines in a VERY SPECIFIC MANNER...
It tells about how to route the lines down close to the end of the article I posted the link to.

Update:Got the Burb home and gonna go round up the parts.I called a few places and can get the control unit(from my work),the upper intake gasket set(Fel-Pro)from AutoZone and the new bracket for the controller from the GMC dealer.Here's the report from the Chevy dealer
