Thanks Jim,Scott :thumbs: Those links will help a lot.After further research even if the current unit was good I'd still convert to the new upgraded version.From what I read it's way more efficient and will improve the mpgs & performance so I'm gonna do it :thumbs: I can get all the parts for under $300.00 and my labor is free :jester: well kind of :cheers:

Notice that when installing the new spider... a couple of the fuel lines have to cross over some of the other lines in a VERY SPECIFIC MANNER...
It tells about how to route the lines down close to the end of the article I posted the link to.

Notice that when installing the new spider... a couple of the fuel lines have to cross over some of the other lines in a VERY SPECIFIC MANNER...
It tells about how to route the lines down close to the end of the article I posted the link to.

I'll be sure to look for that.I read it quickly but when the time comes I'll have that link up on my laptop out in the driveway and reverence it as I go...thanks again :thumbs:

Update:Got the Burb home and gonna go round up the parts.I called a few places and can get the control unit(from my work),the upper intake gasket set(Fel-Pro)from AutoZone and the new bracket for the controller from the GMC dealer.Here's the report from the Chevy dealer
