So last week she gets in to go to work and the engine will turn over but won't start. The day before it ran fine, she came home and turned it off as always, nothing different.I've checked everything I could think of and connected my scanner.....NO CODES!!! I did get it to start and idle three times...after disconnecting the battery for about an hour or so each time.Took it for a ride up the hiway and when I stepped on the gas it stumbled terribly...I've replaced the cap & rotor and the fuel filter so far.Connected my fuel pressure gauge and have 61lb at the fuel rail when cranking the engine...I removed the crank positioning sensor to clean it up and check the plug...has twleve volts.

I checked the vacuum hose going to the p'brake booster and find no gas.

My question is why doesn't the PCM throw a code when I unplug the CKP sensor?I unplugged a couple of other sensors that should throw codes as well, but still no codes. Is it possible the PCM took a shit?:dunno: Is it also possible the PCM can be re-flashed?

I think I'm gonna get it to the GM dealer and have them put it on their fancy machines(for $125.00)and see what they can find.

Gary, you seemed to check all the bases but you didn't mention if it has spark, could be a weak/bad coil.:dunno:

Forgot that, yes there is a nice big spark.Removed a spark plug and grounded it to the exhaust man....

I'm stumped..bring back the old days... :)

Late 1999 thru 2000... Caddy had a bunch of bad crankshaft position sensors...
I do not know if that applies to the Chevy 350 or not... :dunno:

I'm about to call AAA,hopefully the Chevy dealership can shed a little light on my prob...

Question.....If I unplug the CKP sensor shouldn't it throw a code? According to two different scanners there are no codes :dunno:
