Thread title needs to be updated...should say "Vehicle", not "truck.
So, when I found my Vette, one of the things I asked him was if he ever had any oil leks. He admitted he did and that GM fixed it under warranty. I'd have to check my records to remember where it was leaking from, but I want to say it was the oil pan.
Well, today I brought my Vette in for an oil change and the tech allowed me out into the service bay to watch him and check out the undercarriage since I had not been under it yet.
Guess what I found ? Oil pan had a film of oil on it...looks like it was coming from the front and migrating back. Then I went to the rear and the transmission (manual) also had a film of oil on it.
Nothing dripping but WTF? Car only has 42K miles on it and has never been driven in snow/winter.
GM can make great engines with lots of power...WTF can't they make them not leak?
