I've had my truck for abouta year now and one of the first things I kept saying I would do Is put in a bed liner. I kept putting it off because I didnt know which brand to go with. Some say rhino liner, others say line-x and some say other local companies. Now that the bed is starting to get scratched up, I want to get a bed liner in there before i wear right throuh the paint and it starts rusting.

What does everyone recommend from personal experience?

Don't go the cheap way out is what i know from experience. I have several friends with both rhino and line-x and personally i like the linex better. both are top notch liners and are gonna do the job but the looks of the liner are different i just like how the linex looks

I called line x about a month ago and I was quoted $475 for my 5'7 box. That sound accurate?

I don't have Linex, but I think that's price seems to be what I've heard/read.

I got "Toff" brand from the Chevy dealer I bought from. It's okay. I have a couple gashes in it, but I was probably doing something I shouldn't have. If I were doing it again, I'd probably go with the Linex. :dunno:

My dads truck has a liner called rebel coating. He was trying to get me to get that. It's a local company and he knows the guy that does it. Said it he could do it for 350. I took a look over my dads bed and it's chipped all over the tail gate and it's faded badly, looks brown.

I'm just worried about overspray and how easy it is to fix if they do screw up. From reading into it, overspray doesn't seem to ever be a problem that people have had to deal with so I assume they have a pretty solid method of masking everything off

I also asked about the uv protecting and the guy told me it doesn't have to be done right away, that it usually doesn't start fading for a couple years so if a year down the road I want to get the uv protectant coating, they can do it then

Yeah mine is 3 years old and I've had a tonneau since Sept. It's faded a little bit, but still seems "okay."

There is a local shop here that does Linex, I'd bed 1000's of times per year. I don't think I'd be worried about overspray. They have some experience

My father in law had a Line-X put in his 2010 Silverado last year right after he bought it. Still looks brand new and its about a year old now. No bed cover or anything, and his truck is parked out in the sun every day. He had a plastic slide in bedliner that the dealership sold him for his 99. He was so unhappy with it, he said a spray in liner was one of the main things he wanted on his new truck.
