BTW Nascar should remain because of its tradition, but would be cool to have a racing series simillar to the argentinian TC2000 using real stock trucks adapted to the current offering.

A real trucks series would even be easier to promote, since trucks are currently what's technically closer to Nascar in the Big Three's offer. Either those compact ones or 1/2-tons with extended cabs to have enought room for the safety cage would be cool...

I like the Australian V8 Supercar series. I'd be a huge NASCAR fan if they still had real cars to drive... instead of the crappy spec cars they have now.

There is just one problem: lack of RWD cars in the U.S. market. Considering the Crown Vic's phaseout soon, remain basically the Mustang, Camaro, Challenger, 300C/Charger and some imports...

I can just see these modern "stock" tin cans running around the track. The first time they rubbed, the hood would collapse back to the windshield, 16 airbags would go off, and the driver would be lost in a daze trying to get off the track. The days of pulling a basically "showroom" car and running it on a track are long gone.......

That could be fun for the people at on-star, randomly cut power to different cars during the race.
