Re: Wheels - Time for some changes - UPDATE: Maybe this time. Unlikely, but maybe.

Not sure why these were shot down, both are are 18x10's on 35's, so the 20x10 would have the same sized lip.

They're gloss black, have some machining inside the spokes, and the design is as clean as can be. I would have to do nothing to these. :dunno:
Just throwing it out there since I just found this new pic.

Those look good too. Hell they all do. Picking rims is hard. And it's not even my vehicle.

Maybe you will have to put the names of the rims in a hat a draw one and go with it. :dunno:

 It's getting to be that way.

I think Tobias said 'hell no' either because of the super deep lip of the original wheel I posted or the ugly Moto Metal badge. :D

THinking of the mirror caps that will be gloss black and how well they will work with the textured bottom part of the mirror I was thinking of applying the same effect to the wheels.

After blacking out the machined bits, spray the lip and lip edge (both the outside and inside lips) in a high gloss clear, and the face/spokes in a matte clear. Might give the wheel more depth instead of being all one finish. There is a nice edge where the lip meets the face so it would make for a defined edge.

This is an example that best represents this.

As well as these C93 BMW wheels

I tried simulating this quickly for a rough idea, I think you would see more of the detail on the spokes in a flat clear over black more so than if they were a dark gloss black.

Re: Wheels - Time for some changes - UPDATE: Maybe this time. Unlikely, but maybe.

just skimmed through the thread. personally i like the kranks and the method wheels. only thing is id like to see a pair of wheels that are gloss black all around with maybe some machined simulated bolts or whatever. i personally like the mickey thompson MTZ's and NITTO trail grapplers. what id like to see done is whatever wheel/tire you decide on, have it done in a 20x10 for a little more deeper of a lip on the wheel since you would have no problem with spacing issues.
