So I went to go change my spark plugs this weekend, and it seems my plug wires are practically fused to the plugs. These are the original plugs and wires with almost 100k miles on them. It seems that I will end up destroying the wires when I remove them to replace the spark plugs, so does anyone have andy suggestions for a new set? I have a basically stock engine apart from the blackbear tune, so I don't really need any high performance wires (I would think). I'd also like to not break the bank since I've just had to spend a LOT of money lately on parts and stuff, plus I ended up spending a lot of money last weekend traveling down to New Orleans for my uncle's funeral.

So gimme some suggestions guys. :dunno:
OH, and I have a 2001 5.3 chevy.

I'd recommend a good set of AC Delcos. Looks like they have served you quite well up til now!

For a stock set up, depending on what the AC's cost, the Car Quest or Napa house brand are good replacments.

Looking at the Taylors that Dennis posted looks like a good set. The price isn't bad either.

I had a set of Accells on my old Cutlass that I ordered from Jegs, I was satisfied with them. :dunno:

But Jim also has a valid point that the OE Delcos have lasted 10 years/100k miles on my truck already.

So far the Taylors that Dennis posted seem to be the cheapest. I've heard good things about Taylor wires, but what about longevity?:dunno:

I think the Taylors would hold up fine over time just like the AC's. They make a good quality wire. I didn't look to far, might go to the Taylor website and see what kind of warranty they offer.

Taylor wires will be fine Scott, the only reason I didn't go Taylor was availability. From what I read they are superior wires.
