Washed all of the damn salt off of it yesterday. It's black again. :lol:

Started it to see how well the new glow plugs work after letting it cold soak overnight (36 degrees). Started right up. :)

I have had a few diesels... I know what you were going thru...:ohnoes:
Next step is to fix/check the block heater. Someone cut the plug off it before I bought the truck. I'm not sure if that was because the heater was no good, or if the plug just got caught on something and tore off. A new cord is $24, new heater is a little over twice that, and comes with a new cord. If all I need is the cord I'd hate to spend the money for a new heater, but if I just buy the cord and the heater is bad I'll have wasted that $24. :dunno:

I might just get the improved heater (1000w vs 600w) for $65 and swap it and be done with it.

I would probably just get the new heater, cord and all and then "KNOW" that it was all good.... :dunno:
