Ordered a Sonnax Line Pressure Booster for the transmission! Guys on the Ram forums are really loving these.

_DSC2133.JPG

#45LPB / #68LPB. This family of transmissions uses a full range line pressure sensor mounted on the outside of the transmission for "closed loop" line pressure control. Due to this system, traditional methods of raising line pressure by changing the PR spring or valves have no effect. This Line Pressure Booster alters the pressure signal sent to the computer causing the computer to raise line pressure. The 68RFE has a 10-15 PSI increase and the 45RFE and 545RFE has a 15-30 PSI increase. Higher line pressure increases clutch holding power and torque capacity. Changes in shift feel will be noticed mostly under aggressive driving or loaded conditions. This part is ideal for heavy duty and modified vehicles and even stock transmissions when a little extra pressure is desired. No other modifications are required. The Line Pressure Booster installs between the pressure sensor and vehicle harness using OEM style sealed connectors. Simply unplug the vehicle harness and reconnect with one of these parts. Cost $49.00

That sounds like a very worthwhile addition...

Drove it to work for a few hours then cruised 200 miles over to LC to help recruit interns. Should break 15k within a day or so.

It's not heaven . . . it's Iowa!
Nothing. I've been out of town this week and haven't even drove it since Friday. :crybaby:

I hope it recognizes me when I get back. We get to take a nice long drive this weekend though :)

Thought about mine.......I will get back to it in about an hour or so.

Limped my work truck into a dealership on the other end of the state this morning in low range (hubs unlocked) since the transfer case decided to grenade going down the road. Only way I could get any gears to engage was low range, then it wouldn't disengage. The mechanic seemed to thing the tranny might be toast as well. :frustration:

It would appear that the engineers fWONked up their calculations on this one......I had just over 300 miles left on the 3/36 warranty, so looks like Ford will get to buy this one! :ford:

At least we have an office down there so I could borrow one of their trucks to get home!

Determined that the Turn signal/multifunction switch In the Chev needs replaced. You can get them new for about $80 but it requires the airbag and lower dash to be removed completely. :( Should we try and do it at home or let a shop do it.....
