Nice! I lived in Laramie for a year and a half.
Drove on I80 past the Salt Lake, and we are now parked in Wendover, NV right near Boneville. about 1,4000 miles so far.
I guess he drove it to a buddy's house. The guy looked it over, asked him if he bought it (he responded "do you think I should"), and said it was a very nice and clean truck.
Ended up cutting up the old hub assembly (no damage done to the spindle/car itself) to get the bolt freed up. I thought for sure we were gonna have to drill it out. So then I had to find a new bolt. Advance Auto didn't have anything, all the GM dealers were closed, AutoZone had nothing, another local major parts store (supply a lot of shops around town) had nothing. Finally I went to a hardware store (Ace Hardware) and got something pretty damn close. The only difference was the shank area was shorter and the threaded area was longer (the bolt was the same length, thread series, and pitch, but had a larger hex head on it). Thank God it worked!!!!
Somebody going to get lucky on Fathers Day.
It happens to the best of us.
