Drove it to get an estimate on dual exhaust...

About $850 with x-pipe and in house mufflers...

Just the pipe work is around $400 or so.

Not bad if it mandrel bent and stainless. Get it done, son!

That's not mandrel or stainless

There's no place in town that does mandrel.

And I need to get my truck lowered first

Just order a cat back then. Much cleaner for the same price.

Filled it full of groceries. Then took the tire rack off the back gate to see if I could fix where I bumped it the other day. It's bent off kilter like crazy. I think I need a new one.

DNA Truck Series muffler... Same thing I had on the Blazer, only sounds good with a V8

Well, not to have mandrel bent stainless piping, just to get that muffler, deserves at least a rethinking.

Seriously.

How much of a performance difference is mandrel bending really going to get me on a stock engine? :dunno:

The stainless I can understand, as it'll last (the muffler is all stainless, so it'll match)

Obviously mandrel is better... and I'm definitely going to price things out in Edmonton next time I'm out there... Probably be about $400 for mandrel stainless out there :dunno:

None whatsoever, that is my point. When I spend that kind of cash on exhaust (and I have many times) I want the sound, the look and the cool factor. That is all you are paying for. Performance is negligable on all of them.

I spend the money on every truck I get  When I roll under there I don't want to see some gacked up rusty welds and shitty muffler shop bends. You've seen mine :D2

Just my opinion :jester:

:rollin:

Obviously if I can get it prettier I will... But $400 for piping is average price around here :dunno:

The average mechanics shop charges at least $80/hour for work.

Finished up with the convention in Baltimore and then drove home... With a little side trip up to Harper's Ferry and the Antietam Battlefield. Pics later if anyone wants to see 'em.
