I washed it yesterday, and so far I've just looked at it today...I'd like to trade it in on this I found this morning at CarMax

It probably wouldn't be the wisest decision....but I BTDT before!:dunce::willy:

Find one with lower mileage and RED.... then do it....

 Yeah it is awful YELLOW...Their few and far between..I think thats the first one I've seen for Sale around here. I did a 250miles search for others, and it brought me back to that one!!

There are 8 of them around here...

There is one PURPLE one and one RED one...

Replaced the fan clutch & anti-freeze..adjusted the timing.Today I might replace the sparke plug wires, cap & rotor, maybe plugs.I'll pull a couple to see how they look first.Gotta get some heat shield sleeves for the wires as well.

Should be running good as new by the time you are done with it!

When I first read this, I kind of missed the ". T" and my first thought was "All that by 5:11 AM......you are one dedicated mechanic!"

  :rollin:

I barely had my first cup of coffee down by then....and yeah,I'm doing all this in preperation for our vacation at the end of next month.Won't be driving as many miles as Jim did but I'll be towing my toy hauler so I wanna eliminate as many possible probs as I can ahead of time.

There isn't hardly anything that pisses me off more than having car trouble when out on the road... :(
I do like you do.... try to eliminate it BEFORE it happens...

Many years ago we went on vacation to Seattle in my '77 GMC & camper. We got somewhere north of Sacremento & I noticed the amp gauge was reading quite low.Luckily we had just passed a small town & truned back.I bought a rebuilt alternator at their local NAPA store & replaced it in a few minutes. There was an ice crean shop on the other corner...so while I was working on the truck they were eating ice cream...only an hour delay, got lucky then
