:rollin:

I just got my new alternator in the Silverado. Had to tweak the heater hose coming off the pump a little, but nothing major. The belt was a PITA to get on. I had the tension-er fully "released" and I could still barely get the belt on. It didn't help any that the belt was trying to keep the shape it was in in the packaging. I take it there's no way to over tighten the belt since the tension-er is "automatic". Anyways, I'm gonna take it to AutoZone tomorrow and have them test the amperage. The alternator said 130A online, but is marked as 150A. Oh, and with the new alternator, I no longer have a "click" every revolution so that means that my old alternator must have been the cause which is weird because the S10 doesn't "click" and that now has the Silverado's old alternator. Oh well.
