Did you do it the easy way, put the truck up on jack stands and put it in gear and let it idle?

Nah, I just sat underneath the truck on my creepy crawler and did it.....My friend suggested that, but I would be afraid something bad would happen

I use to polish my chrome slots that were on my 68 impala that way. I would put it on jack stands put it in gear and as the wheel spun around I would work the polish. Did a good job.

Drove it to OKC and back...

Took my hitch off, had it sandblasted, and put 3 coats of Rustoleum primer, and 3 more of semi-gloss black. And I made a new bracket for my hitch plug, out of aluminum so it wouldn't rust, and painted it black also. I'll be starting a thread when I get it all back together to take some pics.
