Most are LS1 nuts. Primarily Camaro/Firebird nuts.

I don't claim to be the expert Dan. I'm just telling what I have seen them do here.

I agree with you Jim, but Dan is telling the truth. There are tons of guys over there changing cams in trucks with lots of miles and NOT changing lifters. I am still old school so my line of thinking is that you change them as a set. But there are guys doing it regularly with success.:dunno:

Well. Dan's point that it is possible to get away with it with the roller lifters is a valid one. I'm just saying that the folks I know here that build hotrod LS engines always replace the lifters, pushrods, and rockers in their builds. I'm not saying Dan is wrong.

It's just two takes. I'd guess money would play into it as well...

Oh I know what you're saying and I know what Dan's saying, if I change a cam you can bet I'm doing lifters too and pushrods. Rockers maybe but lifters are still a must in my book. Doesn't mean one way is right or wrong but that my way.

With rollers, I'd be very tempted to swap cams like Dan did on his low mileage engine. My real point was for Tobias with 100K... I'd swap lifters for sure if I did a cam.

Sorry this got so derailed.
