I'm out in the garage cleaning and waxing the 'Hoe's Summer wheels. :D

Hmm....I didn't even take mine off yet :uhoh: I should be alright until I do though since it won't move much during the winter months.

Did you ever get another beater?

Me? Yeah,I bought me a little '02 Saturn SC2 3dr. coupe early last year,Had to go down to Fredricksburg,VA. for it,Its a great little car...very reliable, very easy to work on (all I've had to do is normal maintenance) and gets 34 mpg city and almost 40 hwy.

I was looking for a '96-'98 regular-cab short-bed 4x4 earlier this year, but due to the possibility of a bleak financial future I've put that on hold for now.

Heres a pic of the car....

That Saturn should last a long time. Not exactly a beater. It looks pretty nice.

Yeah,It had 86,000 miles on it when I bought it last Feb.,it now has just under 120,000
These are VERY reliable little cars,The guy at one of our (soon to be closed) Saturn dealerships said they routinely come in with 3-400,000 miles on the original engine/transmissions
These cars are just as reliable as any Honda,Mazda,Nissan,or Toyota,or any other little foreign car out there, and parts are so cheap for them!

I've always laughed at those little doors they have for the back, but I guess they gotta be somewhat functional.

Yeah,It is functional, just like the third and fourth doors on our trucks are.
Although there is not a whole lotta' room back there for anybody other than a little kid!!!
I use it to make it easier to throw junk in!!
The only thing I don't like about the car in general is it has leather,I couldn't find one in the price range and condition I wanted with cloth.
Oh....The little 1.9 DOHC 4-banger isn't very powerful either :(
But I got my 6-liter for power!!!!

Be very happy you have the DOHC engine in it. They last forever. The SOHC engines are known for cratering big time.

Yeah,The SOHC ones had issues with the cyl. heads...although my friend had a '98 with 100k on it and never had any issues, until someone rear-ended her
(I was the only one who was suppose to rear-end her :naughty:)
