Drove it to school, drove it home for lunch, drove it back to school, drove it to the car wash and ran it through (too lazy/busy to do it myself right now), drove it back home, drove it back to school to pick up a friend, and I'll probably take it to get something to eat here in a little bit because we just did dishes and I don't feel like dirtying any of them.

I am about to head to walmart to get my hunting license!

Can you guys not do it online?

Thats a good question! I am going to look into it!

We can, it's great! I don't hunt anymore but I get my fishing license online every spring!

I think the only reason why I havent is because I weaseled my way out of the hunters safety course... I dont have a members card or # to be able to process it online...

How I got my license is a long story!

Well, take the time and type it up. If we don't want to read it because it's too long, we won't. :D

Around here the guys who buy them at Walmart watch the retired 75 year old guy who works the sporting goods website get on the DNR website and buy it for them. It's pathetically slow as they're not the best on the computer and I hate waiting in line behind them to get in the ammo cabinet!

And can you take the hunter's ed online? I've been hunting many many times with my dad and brothers and once I got of age I had to take that test as I couldn't get the kiddie license anymore. I may, or may not, have had the study guide open in another tab and taken the test. Can you believe I got a perfect score? Even on the muzzleloading section...

I drove mine to and from work. Parked out front and shopped for a new bowtie. Mine's naked right now and I messed it all up so I need a second one!

Online licenses? That's a GREAT idea.

Though, ours do get printed on this really cool, water proof, non-tearable paper. I tried to tear it and could barely even cut with scissors. It actually really fWonked up our paper shredder . . . :uhoh:

I've seen that stuff, it's pretty cool. I can't recall what it was that I had that was made from it though. Some sort of event ticket or something.

It actually looks like we can do ours online here in Iowa. I would have to pay $2 plus 2.5% of the license cost(s).

Kinda like our TTL fees. I have to pay to make their job easier by not coming in. I don't mind going to Scheels and now our new Bass Pro Shop!

You're actually paying for the convenience of not having to go anywhere to get it. :D

The hunting and fishing licenses in Louisiana are printed on paper like that too. The "deer tags" are also printed on that same paper along with the license. Every deer you kill MUST have a tag filled out and attached to it before you even try to move it. They say if you are hunting, you must carry your tags, a pen, and some wire or zip ties to firmly attach the tag to the deer. If you butcher the deer in the woods, you have to keep the genitals in a ziploc bag with the "deer tag" attached to it., and keep the ziploc bag in the ice chest with the meat. They just started this bullshit about tagging system last year. :dunno:And you can buy your license them online, but they charge a $2.50 extra fee to do so, plus you have to wait till they mail it to you. If you go to a sporting goods store, they will print it up right then and there. Either way you do it, you need a hunter's safty card number. The safety course is easy as hell too, but you can't do it online because you need to do a shooting test where you have to shoot a shotgun.

Worth it for the vehicle tags. Well worth it.

Fishing Licenses? Nah. I'm in a sporting goods store at least 2 or 3 times a month.

Yeah, it opened in the middle of August. I've only been there 3 times or so, and only bought stuff once. Even a month after opening, it was ridiculously busy. I had to park way in the gravel, and they probably have 50 acres of parking! :willy:

I've only been to the St. Louis one, and this one is nicer, but it is newer. There's one close to where I grew up in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and my parents say it's quite nice. :dunno:

There was supposed to be a Cabela's that came to Altoona years ago. But the geniuses downtown wouldn't agree to their tax exemptions. So they went to Omaha. Glad they pulled their heads out of their ass for Bass Pro. :rollin:
