Just got back from storm spotting in it. Weird storm... Popped up out of nowhere, just a big red and orange blob on the radar and NWS didn't even bother with a severe thunderstorm watch, just went straight to a warning, which set off the alert at the house and activated the spotter network. Took the truck over to the church parking lot, where I have a good view of the sky in almost all directions and waited for it to hit. Got nice and dark for a bit, then broke up completely and they canceled everything twenty minutes later. Barely got a couple of raindrops, but towns west of us seem to have gotten hammered pretty good, with reports of "torrential" rain and 60+ mph winds.

Well yesterday I filled it up a 2.66 for 89, and over the last 117 miles, I got 12.6 mpgand I didn't even do any WOT runs, and only chirped the tires once.

Man, that sucks. I get 16+ consistently and my truck weighs more than yours and I usually have a couple WOT runs, however I am running 91 so I'd better be getting better to off-set the cost! (and that's with 115k mi.)


Left the truck parked today with the sunshade in the window. Gonna be driving it tomorrow and Friday because of rain.
