drove it to work today without mashing the go petal to the floor.
Whats the point?

because its a slow stock truck and the engine was cold haha. i did a fuel run yesterday even though it was windy, i got 16.5 mpg it sucks compared to what i used to get before exhaust/lower valance delete/bullbar. used to get at least 2 more mpg haha.

ya i got AFM its the iron block too, so gm's stock tune for it is crappy since they only have 1 tune and its for the aluminum block(or so im told)

it sucks because at one time at the same speeds i was running(with a wind pushing me probably) i hit 21 mpg.

whaa? you have a tune for an aluminum 5.3? I'm rockin the 5.3 with AFM and BB tuned and I was calculating 20+ mpg on every tank. Ur truck must be really heavy :lol:

i think it was justin who originally told me that there were 2 motors from GM, the aluminum and iron block. and that GM has a tune using the aluminum and just used that for the iron block but dont quote me on that. all i know is my knock sensors go insane when i fire it up the first time when its dead cold.
