Yeah...when the crankshaft pulley had 4 or 5 grooves in it.
they will never know the joy of having to take loose everything on the front of the engine to change the "BACK BELT".
And then having to put it all back together again.
Done that many times

and rarely at home....always seemed to happen away from home
Driving out in West Texas one summer...hotter than hell...broke the little water pump belt.
I was "MILES" from anywhere to get one and on a road with almost -0- traffic.
Finally took a rawhide lacing from my military combat boot...tied it together around the crankshaft pulley and the water pump pulley... and made it to the next town.
Sometimes you just have to "MAKE DO" with what you have to work with.
