I'm now on Medicare,officially old.
So,since my Burb is OBDI I'd prolly have to run some new wires, huh? I'd need some way to tell the fans when to turn on.I would guess there's an aftermarket kit somewhere for that.
Actually you will need "TWO" triggers for it.
One for engine temp... and one for when you are using the A/C...
Shouldn't be too hard to hook up and make it work right...
So then any time the A/C is on the fans should be on? Wouldn't the engine temp trigger sense the extra heat from the engine working harder to counteract the A/C compressor draw?
Any time the A/C is on and you are at about 35 or 40 MPH or less, the E-fans should be on.
If they are not on, the system will not have enough airflow thru the A/C condenser.. (in front of the radiator) to cool the hot gas before it goes back into the compressor, and and the compressor will build up WAY TOO MUCH head pressure and blow the freon out thru the pressure relief valve...
Then the AC don't work at all...
You don't have to ask to know how I know THAT...![]()
I won't ask
Will be calling a junkyard about a dash for it tomorrow.
