Never had my truck over 70 or 75. :dunno:

I have never had the Caddy over 144...
Was gonna see how fast it would go one day, but quickly ran out of room and had to slow back down... :(

 I had my Ram to a little over 105 the first week I had it.......I regularly cruise the interstate at 80-85 and speed up to pass.

My wife used to have a Grand Am GT, and the speedo went to 150.........I decided to try it out one time on a long, straight stretch of road and found out the limiter was at 149........felt like the car was going to float right off the side of the road, but I hit the limiter. :jester:

One of these days I will open it up...:D
Don't have any roads around here where you can do it halfway safely anymore..:(
Too much dang traffic.

The New Mexico stretch of highway 380 from Hondo to I-25 has recently been repaved.
They did a great job on it. It is smooth as silk.
We were out there last year and I wanted to get to Socorro to spend the night.
After you come thru Carizzo...it is mostly STRAIGHT as can be for miles and miles.
You can see a car meeting you 5 miles away.

Darling Wife had leaned the seat back and was taking a nap...
I gradually increased the speed till I was cruising at about 135...of course, slowing down when meeting the occasional car. Cars were few and far between.
Been going along like that for about a half hour and Darling Wife wakes up, looks over at the speedometer and asks me
"Do you know how fast you are going?"..
I answered "Yes" ..
She laid her head back down and dozed off back to sleep..

Didn't take long to get to I-25..

Took it to the shop to get the #5 coil replaced. It turn out to be a bad wire going to the coil so the coil was ok.

Saw that diesel had gone up 5 cents at one of the two stations near me that usually compete with each other on the prices... So I pulled into the other one and filled up before their price went up too.

$81.00 later the truck has a full belly. :)

The stretch between Vaughn and Ft Sumner is pretty rural and you almost never see a hwy patrol out there, so I tend to get a little lax paying attention to speed sometimes. Was driving through there a couple years ago in my Silverado and it started cutting out all of a sudden. I thought "what the hell is wrong with this POS?" Then I looked down and realized I was just bumping the limiter.......:uhoh:

I know that road...
I bumped the limiter in the Caddy quite a few times before Justin raised the limiter.
Factory setting is 123mph...it was easy to hit that sometimes when passing more than one car...:(
It is now at 180...and I know the car won't do over about 155. :)
