Mine was charging but my headlights looked like strobe lights. The rectifier was going bad in mine.
When I started mine up Thur morning all was fine for a minute and then the truck stumbled. I thought...wtf! Then the battery warning light would flash in the message center and when I looked at the voltage it was on the first slash at where a 1/4 tank of gas would be. After it ran for about 10 minutes and I floored it it kicked in and started charging. The same thing Fri, Sat and this morning, but this morning it wouldn't even start to charge.
You would have been walking.....
Yep!

The original one in the Tahoe shit the bed 2 winters ago while we were still up north, it did the same thing. I found a new Delco 145 amp at the parts store from an HD, it was clocked differently, but it worked great. With it at an idle defrost on high, rear heat on high, heated seats on, and 2 amps booming, it doesn't even dim the headlights.
That reminds me... I need to disconnect the alternator sensing wire on my truck, if it's the same as my `07 was... Tired of my lights dimming all the time, and my FASS slowing down every time my signal lights flash, lol.

Damn computer controlled charging. :fume:

Got a damn "Service Exhaust Fluid, 99 miles to 65MPH" warning and CEL. Didn't get any of the other mileage warnings on the fluid. I doubt it was that anyway, as it didn't even take a full 2.5 gallons before it was full. Strike one towards deleting.

That's the only system that never gave me any problems, lol.

If I ever buy another, or new diesel, it's getting deleted ASAP.

90% of warranty work is because of emissions. 9,9% can't be blamed on it.
.1% you might have to argue.

That is weird, never seen that one. I only get the warning at 1000 miles, then 500, etc.

Crazy, let us know what they say if you take it in.

regarding a delete...I hope this (from the NH inspection laws) is accurate:

Diesel Vehicles:
Model year 1997 and newer diesel vehicles with a GVWR of 8,500 lbs or less must undergo emissions testing.

my truck's GVWR is 10K, so i should be exempt. That just seems weird to me though...how many diesel 3/4 tons have a GVWR less than 8500? I admit, I haven't paid any attention to gvwr on diesel trucks until 6 months ago...
