Does the new Canyon have a fuel mileage jump over a full size, yet? Before I started needing a full size, that's the only reason I didn't go for the little trucks... Couldn't justify it, when a more capable truck got the same mileage

20 combined for the Canyon with the 3.6 vs. 18 combined for the Silverado with the 5.3. Both 4WD.

I just got back from driving another Canyon. "To me," I think the Canyon may have a smoother ride than my damn Accord! But, I've decided to at least go drive a Silverado before I make any type of decision. Hell, I "may" decide to drive the Accord another year or two and wait for the Colorado/Canyon with the diesel to come out. :dunno:

About time the little trucks get better mileage!

Make sure you test drive the 1500 with at least a 3.42 rear end

Not too bad. Did you get any upgrades? That hot rod thing my kid put in his truck with that Yank convertor made it a whole new truck. Very fun. If the wifey's hoe ever gives it up, I will do the same thing.

Nope. Just a plain old rebuild.

This rig isn't worth enough to justify spending anything more than I have to.

I don't know how long this one is going to stay the DD.

I put my 6 quarts of Amsoil XL in the 'hoe, and made it quiet. Now the wife wants to keep it forever

I will never know why she is so attached to that damn truck, but I should not complain. Bless her heart.

They are just great rigs, you should give it some love!
