Pulled off one of my LED warning lights that had developed a leak and shorted out, only to find this underneath:

Burnt Paint par KJ4VOV, on ipernity

This wasn't some cheap shit Chinese crap either, it was a Made in USA Whelen module that sells for $60

I'm a bit pissed at the moment. :fume:

Just found out three things:

  1. It was not a "Made in USA" Whelen module that sells for $60.00
  2. It was a "Made in USA" Axixtech module that sells for $105.00
  3. It had a 5 year warranty, and the company is going to replace both of them.

One of these days I need to find out just how much fuel my truck actually holds. Stock C3500 diesels with dual tanks that year were supposed to have 21 in one and 18 in the other, but since mine was a cab & chassis with a utility back added it doesn't have the standard tanks. I've never run it dry, and the gauge isn't accurate, so I really don't know the capacity.

I just know how much it hurts to fill it up when I let it go below 1/2. :ohnoes:
