I noticed my side trim was getting discolored from the Az sun and was even pulling up at the corners so I decided to de-trim my GMT900. The trim adhesive is a nightmare but a couple hours with plastic razor blades, wd40, buffer pads & swirl remover wax it turned out pretty clean.

Coming next week are 2" lowering rear shackles to level the rake angle. I'll also be muffler rolling soon, It's currently got a moroso spiral flow into a Borla ProXS 14" dumped before the axle. It's a good deep sound. A Borla 19" 3" in / dual 2.5" out is on order as well as a Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator. I'll mix & match resonators & mufflers around until I find THE sound.
Looks a lot cleaner.

Installed the 2" lowering shackles in the rear. For a simple 4 bolts on the shackles GM didn't make it easy to get them out.

Removed the tow hitch:

Removed 4 of the 6 bed hold down bolts, loosened the 2 front bolts to pivot.

Removed the lower shackle bolt, then dropped jack lowering the frame. The leaf spring eyelet will contact the bed and lift the bed off the frame an inch or so to make the clearance in order to remove the upper shackle bolt over the frame:

Install new shackle, slide in upper shackle bolt. Jack up the frame until the lower shackle lines up in the shackle perch, slide in lower shackle bolt. Put truck back on the ground and reinstall all hardware and tighten everything down.

Looks good, but I never minded the rake on a truck.

Been too cold to do much here lately (no heated garage) but this weekend I drove the dually around a bit and today I ordered new taillights for the suburban. The LED tails on their now are trying to fritz out on me so time to throw something else in there I guess. I'm hoping it warms up soon so I that I can finally wrap up getting the doors restored on the dually and move on to something else.

Gave the wife's burb some attention over the weekend.....

Rotated tires
Brakes front and back
New hubs on both sides
Installed coilovers on the front. This thing rides like a dream especially for a lowered suburban! I should have done this upgrade a long time ago.

Replaced the door handle trim on the drivers door and ordered a gooseneck ball for it.

Bed cover should be here tomorrow.
