That bis the best plan when on vacation.....

I think you're about the 5th or 6th person in the last 24 hours to ask what my plans are for the week. Some people just don't seem to comprehend not having every single little thing all planned out for the week. For me, I don't understand planning every single little thing out for the whole week.

Give yourself some flexibility to play things by ear..

I never plan any thing when on vacation. The only time I did was when the youngest was little and we went to Disneyland.

Try being an engineer married to an accountant. Not only is everything planned, it is tracked on a spreadsheet  :uhoh:

Damn, I do both of those things. Tickets and rooms are always bought ahead of time and I set up a spreadsheet before to come up with a cost estimate to set a budget for the trip and the another when travelling with friends to track costs and how much everyone owes each other. :dunno:

I have yet to schedule a trip with a Gantt chart though. [emoji38]

I went with a accountant friend on a weekend trip a few months ago and he wanted to just wing everything, I had a blast but was fairly uncomfortable with it the whole time. Didn't even know where and if we were going to have a motel room. Ended up getting a room at the last minute due to a cancellation...six guys in a room with a single king and no couch. :uhoh:

Ha, I am. But she leaves her work at work. She is a payroll acct and she won't even pay bills or touch the finances at home. I have to do it.

Same here.

But I'm the spreadsheet guy and she's the planner. Not a bad combo, I guess
