I wanted a longer-range remote start anyway, so add the much lower price of this compared to Smart Start, or other similar systems, to the lack of needing some monkey hacking away at my wiring and scratching up my ride, and this was a no-brainer. That was a long sentence.
It does a ton of actual diagnostics/tracking/reporting/code reading stuff that would be cool to have as well. I'll also be able to unlock it from anywhere, via phone, or with a computer if the phone is in the car.

I'm currently using the OnStar app. I like it but I doubt it has the full range of options that this has though. I'll keep in in mind when my OnStar trial is over.

No idea. Probably will, but not sure about now. It's just relatively cheap and has great functionality, so why not? I really was hesitant to let some Best Buy installer inside of there, to be honest. This is great. I also ordered a relocation kit for the OBDII interface so it is no stick out from the dash.
