I'm afraid all that Fiat will do is screw up the brand even more than Chrysler did. We are gonna be stuck hunting Cherokees and pre 2007 Wranglers if we want real jeeps.

And exactly how many Jeeps have you had?
The Jeep inline six and running gear were in the Wrangler up until 2006 and Cherokees up until 2001. REAL JEEPS. Luckily Chrysler had not screwed that up yet. They did that in 2007 when they came out with the Chrysler Jeep and stuffed it with their POS 3.7 V6. The Grand Cherokee (which is hardly a Jeep) simply doesn't matter.

none, but a buddy of mine had a REAL Jeep CJ and he had a few other pre-Chrysler Jeeps as well that were far better than the glorified SUVs Chrysler turned them into right away. He had a buddy that helped him build it that was a serious Jeep guy, I met him a few times and saw his Jeeps, simply incredible. But I guess since I have never owned one, my opinion doesn;t count huh?
I also work with a Jeep enthusiast (remember the pics?) and if you call a Chrysler Jeep a "Real" jeep, he will burst into laughter.

Jeep has gone through a lot of ownership changes. I suppose your Jeep Master must think all of the AMC period Jeeps were also not Jeeps?
