Buick has come a long way. My parents are thinking about replacing one of their vehicles and I am heavily influencing them to check out Buick. This is the first time in my life that I have ever suggested an American car to anyone. I really like them.

Emily doesn't want a manual transmission... and trips to Costco are part of every week life plus a grandkid in the back seat on occasion. The Miata is cool, but just too small.

No Buicks for me. The resale on them drops way too fast on them (like most American cars). The new ones are pretty nice... but quite GM looking.

Mustang actually fares somewhat well in the resale department because it's quite popular. It is a little on the small side cargo/people wise.

Subaru is SUV like inside and gets decent gas mileage.

Accord does it all with room and economy.... but it's somewhat boring.

That's just it... pondering.

Looked at Ford's new Fusion. Not as sweet looking in person as in pictures but a HUGE improvement. Drove an Optima, but they have some work to do in the refinement department there. They are improving. Looked at Passat but the thing really needs an Impala badge (Vanilla deluxe). Drove Altima (don't like styling at all) and Camry (the most boring car made), They are not in the running.

Might need to bump up the price point.

Edge, Venza, and Acadia are all nice vehicles.

Maybe I'm just too cheap.

IF I were looking for another SUV-ish style vehicle, I'd at least go give the Acura RDX a drive.. I liked the TSX I had. If it hadn't gotten beat to hell in a hail storm, I probably would've driven it until the wheels fell off (figuratively speaking)..

Right now everything we looked at was in the 25-28K range. I'm a tight ass when it comes to buying vehicles...

Understandable. I thought the RDX might be a little higher than you wanted to go.. The price is one thing that would keep me from trading the Outback for one (at least at the moment)..

Man... it's amazing what cars cost these days.

Looking at new GMC trucks yesterday. WITH an $8800 discount, the one I liked was $33,000. Damn!

Yep! Vehicle prices have gone crazy, IMO..

There are a LOT of vehicles out there that I "want." But, most of 'em are out of my price range!
