That's some nice light output, but one fwonking ugly mutha of a frame. The cheap chrome just makes me want to hurl. I think if I had one of those I'd be tempted to take some sandpaper and spray paint to it and paint it flat black.
They are also available in black chrome and satin black, but the satin black ones weren't in stock when I ordered.

I'm thinking about cutting off the bottom portion of the frame and either mounting it somehow below the bumper where it would be hidden, or painting it and mounting it below the tailgate.

Today I cut off the bottom part of the frame and mounted it underneath the tailgate, you could try that. Really wish I could have bought the satin black one now, but I can always strip the chrome and paint it.

Any of you guys with this plate, can you take a close-up picture of the LEDs? I can't justify spending $100 or $70 for something I can DIY. Really curious to see what kind of LEDs are pushing that much light.

Save your money, I don't feel that it's worth the money at all. I lost the plastic cover and the chrome trim around the LEDs somewhere on my way home from work a few weeks ago. I can take a few pictures of the LEDs for you though, the frame is currently off of my truck.

Sweet! Once I see what type there are on it I'll see if I can make my own, well maybe (depends on the cost of all the stuff).

Thanks.
