Yeah my grandpa has all IH brand McCormick/Farmall tractors. He wouldn't ever touch a John Deere for some reason. That was like Ford vs Chevy on farms.
I love that Ford tractor those are some of the best looking ones.

I will not get JD. I hve zero interest in owing one. I really like the old Fords, Farmall's and Olivers.

Last time I saw a Ford tractor so ancient it was in a museum, but the ones from the 70's are still easily found back here.

Here is an update on the tractor. I looked it over and found a few things I wanted to fix. Which led to a few more things I needed to fix. And now this is what I have. The axle seals were leaking so I removed the rear brake assemblies. I found the front axle was damaged so I removed the front axle assembly. I found it had a couple cracks. We welded up the cracks and made a new bushing for the pin. I did all the repairs on in the machine shop at work. I still have to reseal the main seals and oil pan before I put it back together.

Had to remove a broken bolt from the axle mount. Here it is cleaned up and painted.
