Big time. I was prepared for the non running issue but not the destroyed interior and rotted floors.

That was a blessing in disguise.

:werd: 90s LRs (or any British car for that matter) aren't known for the reliability especially the electrical systems.

I hear you. That was in the back of my mind. He only wanted $500 thats why I was considering it. Either way I am glad I did not bring it home. It was a tempting challenge.

That sucks. I thought you were thinking of selling your truck and getting a SD?

I still am Greg. But I am not as rushed now. A bunch of issues came up with the land I was looking at and it is not going to be available as soon as I thought. My major hang up on selling it is I don't feel the trans is in great shape. I do not feel right selling it to someone when the trans could go at any time. It drives fine but if you start to work it hard it has some slipping. I can't honestly sell it like that. Plus my wife knows how much I love the truck and she doe's not want me to sell it. I have considered finding an older one anyway with a plow and plowing driveways to make some money. We will see. But first priority is to get my truck in top notch condition again.

Well I have another project to go look at this weekend. I will tell you up front about it. Its a 78 International Scout. I think the scouts are wicked cool and unique. A buddy started it as a project but is selling it because he found an older Jeep he likes better. What are your thoughts on these rigs? What should I be looking for besides rust. I know the IH have rust issues. THis one is not to bad.

This is not a pic of the actual truck. I will post those when he sends them to me.

That is the Scout II. I prefer the older smaller ones. But they are a very capable rig. Is the one your looking at a 6 or 8 ?

Off road truck but still street legal. No bigger than 33s. I will take the Generals off the F150 and buy some more Highway friendly tires for it.
