Thinking of doing a suspension lift on my two wheel drive truck. Nothing to crazy, looking for just a wider stance and thicker tires since we have a lot of dirt roads around here. Example.. taken from Toyota thread.

Trying to get a squatted look but still have practicality for off-road use. Some of the off-road race trucks are TWD or what i can tell from various sites on the internet. So let me know i guess if you think it would be a dumb idea and look stupid or what?

There's lots of guys lift 2wd trucks. As long as your not going through huge mud holes they are also still functional for light offroad use.

Check over on fsc there's a whole sections for lifted 2wds, you could get a few good ideas over there.

it seems a 2WD lift should allow for a longer suspension travel without having to worry about front axle difficulties (such as length/movement?) limiting this aspect. Should make the off-roading a little more fun. My friend just lifted his 2WD ram 1/2 ton and really likes it. Do it!!

I'm guessing your lifting a 2wd tacoma by the picture? Reguardless of brand. If you're looking for a reasonable mild lift i used rev-tec 3" lift with a 1" rear block on my old tacoma and ran 33's no problem. There are many great lifs for 2wd and they are easier to lift than 4x4 just depends on your price range. You can never go wrong with rancho 4".
