Had the same thing happen to my Camaro I used to race when I was high school/college age. Flywheel exploded, came through the floor pan, barely missing my leg, and then out through the roof. Needless to say I upgraded the the floor pan to prevent that from happening again.

Only a plastic fence was separating the truck pull from the spectators. Because of the incident, the bar owner said he plans to make some changes.

Safety...last on most list.

Their is not much you can do to avoid it tho... even if the pad had concrete walls and stuff.. the only way to completely avoid it is have the trucks all have scatter shields. But alot of new vehicles come out to play.. and these accidents are rare. As in all motorsports ect.. it's just a shitty situation!

I completely understand. There should be some mandatory safety procedures in place, such as a scatter shield. As a spectator to an event, I expect to be as safe as possible.

Have accident and hurt or kill your paying customers, you wont be in business long. It can only takes one accident and before you know it, your sued out of business.
