Sorry to hear this
I had that happen to me once, buy luckily it was just salt, so it didn't matter. Sure does seem like a case of "wrong place, wrong time." In defense of the TXDOT , they'd still be waiting to turn the spreader on if they'd waited until nobody was around.![]()
I agree....just wish it was not me. Insurance has been contacted, I spoke with them yesterday. It's covered under my comp part of the policy. I have rental car coverage. The lady on the phone said that from her experiance they will pay to make everything right and depending on what the adjester says it's most likey a partial paint but will have to wait to see what he says.
I talked to the shop doing my Camaro. They do not do insurance work as in collision work but are willing to take on my truck!! That was good news as I know they are not the type of shop that does this kind of work.
He asked me some detailed questions and will want to see the adjuster if he is not in agreement with anything. The owner worked for a big GM dealer for 25 years so he knows his way around this kind of stuff. He did tell me the bed has to come off to paint it right. He also told me he can do a partial with out issue but he is going to tell me the extra cost needed to do the entire truck then a cut and buff.
I am almost postive I have the right to all GM parts for the new mirror cap, grill and head light. I don't want any aftermarket parts used, I hear they can be troublesome due to cheap quality.
Deducatble is $300.00 so that is good a good thing!!
