Transmission issues.....

Ok so I lost 2nd gear in my trans (4l60E) some time back but couldn't afford to have it looked at and learned to live with it, then recently I lost 3rd and OD but got 2nd gear back over 2000 rpm. Noticed that my gear indicator isn't registering Park or Neutral (and sometimes Reverse) and if I shift from D into 3 or 2 on column results in no 2nd gear.

Any ideas beyond sticking 200 lbs of dynamite in it and setting it off?

Figure anything out on this? I believe it's somewhat common for a faulty ignition switch to cause what you are describing.

No I've been meaning to get it to transmission shop but working to much. I heard about ignition switch and the Park Indicator sensoer thingy on trans cause a similar issue but not quite the same.
