Tranny temps

I have my tranny temp sender plugged into the port on my Derale pan and ever since I finished installing the whipple and all the other new stuff and gauges, driving to and from class a mile or two at a time the temp gauge reads around 100-110 degrees. Im not sure how accurate the sensor is where its at, but at least its a reference point. It just now started to warm up a little around here, been around 60-70 degrees up from 40s and 50s and now it seems like idling around town and going through the drive-throughs the gauge will hit 150-160. It doesn't seem like too much of a difference in air temps to boost tranny temps that much. Checked the fluid, looks good and measures up where its supposed to on the dipstick. Fresh fluid around 1500 miles ago. Im sure im just worrying for no reason, I just never had a tranny temp gauge before last winter so all temps until now have been around 100-110 and its still not quite hot outside around here yet. Any kind of change in anything normal for me freaks me out.

Those are normal temps. I wouldn't worry about it to much.

I don't know why tranny temps would be any more than the rest of our temps. So around 98.6 is normal.

Your temps should be good... I don't know where the factory temp sensor is mounted on newer trucks, though

Ever since the push clips that held that fabric under my bumper gave way, my temps have been getting up to 185 in stop and go traffic. The highest I ever saw it before that was 170, and I was going 100 MPH down the freeway.
