Good luck. I'd buy a good warranty.
What do you mean? They have a lot if issues?

I have not heard a lot of good things about that era of TBs and Envoys. They were never known to be reliable vehicles.
Well crap. [emoji38]

I don't know what he is talking about because all vehicles have issues but everyone I know that have actually owned one said that there's was great. One of my really good friends just traded his in with 200k on the clock. Brakes, batteries and tires was his song along with routine maintenance. Last year he was at a soccer game and the ball creamed the tailgate. He actually paid someone to PDR it before the trade. It was really clean and I wanted to buy it.

Another good friend of mine whom I normally spend every other weekend fishing with has one in the 300k+ range and the V6. He's had to replace the smog pump or something with the AC that my brother fixed for him. I think it's an 04' and he's saving it for his daughter for when she gets her license. His z-71 also has almost 300k but he did have to replace a transmission in that but pulls a trailer every day.

If I found a nice one, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.

I've heard of timing chain issues on the early 3.6s... As well as steering rack issues on the first gen Acadia's...

The steering issues, I've seen first hand when my friend was test driving one.

If it's had all of that fixed recently, the Acadia isn't bad.

When researching reliability, I would not take forum members' word for it (mine or anyone else's). We are all biased...me due to my recent shitty experience with my last few GM vehicles and Brian since he is a die-hard GM fan. Certainly not the "my brother's GF's mom knew a guy who had one".....blah blah blah.

Do your own research. Then buy what you like and take your chances.

Yes, Jeff. This is extremely important and I think everyone bases their decision off of research mostly and not off of forum members, especially not off of posts like your first one in this thread.

Now about the post I am replying to, I feel like you are a breathing contradiction. If you compare a trailblazer's reliability to something in its class as a whole through any consumer site you're not going to find a vehicle that is so much more reliable that it just compels you to switch brands. People buy what they like and what they can work on.

Yes Brian, we all know you think GM is the best brand out there. Whatever makes you sleep at night. It's all good Bro.

In a couple years, the Chevelle in my sig pic will be the only GM product in my garage.

Lol, I've only purchased more non GM vehicles over GM vehicles by x3-4 times...

I've also learned that most people that aren't happy with anything in life are never happy no matter what they buy. :p

Funny thing is, I am 110% happy with everything in my life....except my POS truck. :p

Well 110% of your posts in here say otherwise! Grumpiest man I've ever known! I'd say 110% of the past and current members would vouch for that.

Why you calling, BS? You'd have to be smart enough to remember the Fords, Dodges, Volvo's, Honda's and the 8 Mitsubishi 3000GT's/Dodge Stealth. Forgot about the one Nissan and a couple Toyota's. Has your doctor diagnosed you with Alzheimer's, yet? Most of these cars and trucks were in threads on this site. If only photonuclear hadn't gone retarded against 3rd part sharing, SMH.

OK, so you are NOT biased toward GM vehicles then (aka GM fanboy/leghumper)?

Gotcha Brian. My bad, please forgive me. :tmc:

"grumpiest man I've ever known".....Sorry Brian, but you do not know me. You have never even met me. Everyone who actually does know me, knows I am a happy, fun dude.....I do get grumpy when I have spend yet another grand on my 80k mile GMC truck though. I think I have damn near bought my truck twice already.
