Update:
According to my GM guy here (GM master tech and service manager for 35 years), there is no official answer, but 7 years or 100K seems to be the consensus among GM dealers. Sensors DO transmit when stopped, but the frequency of transmissions slows to a crawl.
Acceleration and high speed increases the number of transmissions and decreases battery life.
So he says.
