Shut Up Stupid
Today got a chance at the shop to install the used tow hooks I bought. I cleaned em up, took a wire wheel to all the bolts and nuts, primed the hooks, and painted them to match the color of my truck with Dupli Color match up spray paint. I am very pleased with the end result... here is just a quick right up on these.. most people just have the plastic piece gone, but I like the clean look of it.. so I decided to cut slots for the hooks. I will be painting to match that lower bumper piece soon as well.
Here are some pics.
Bolts and Nuts soaked in Break Free for 2 days.
Wire Wheel time!
CLEAN!
Wire wheel to hooks.
Then sanded and primed the hooks
Paint!!
Time to pull the panel
It takes 4 plastic screws, then you just pry and pop out this piece. It takes a phillips head.
Hooks mounted.
Cuttin time!! After measuring everything carefully!!!
BAAM!
Excuse the truck.. it's super dirty.
$71.00 for used hooks shipped.
$15.00 for paint.
About 4 hours ( Painting all factored in as well )
Love it!
