If you ask me.... he better be low 14's or even the 13's. Check out this guys truck from PT.net

I have a full weight 99 Silverado ECSB 4,450lb's its mods are.

6.0 LQ9
Hooker longtubes
3" hooker Y-pipe,single 3" 50 series Flowmaster
Compcam 208/212,554/558,114LSA
eaton posi,4.10 gears
ported T/B
160 thermostat
Tuned by me HP tuners
stock torque converter for now
stock wheels,with M/T drag radials

Im only running 13.7 at 102mph is that about right for this setup, what is slowing me down ? I just ordered a 3200 circle D converter.I do tow my car to the track with this still keep in mind ?? Is my single muffler restrictive ? Is my cam way to small ? Worth swapping out ?
He is running a mid-high 13's and he doesn't even have a verter. yeah he has posi and 4.10's but no stall.
I think its Dans 3.73 is what will kill him. Its getting off the line to the 60 I think will be the killer.I guess its a wait and see.
and the fact that he is running huge effin tires. Get some smaller tires Dan!

I DO have a 3k stall, and that guy was running the stock converter. That truck's 2wd though no? That's an extra 250lbs that I have about as far forward as you can put it.

Oh, and Jim, my best time with the old engine was a 16.26. A 100+ HP and TQ gain, PLUS a huge amount more low end torque, PLUS the 3k 'verter, and I think low 14s should be attainable. Some aggressive weight reduction will happen at least once this season as well, but not today.

I guess we'll all find out in about 3 hours, it looks like the rain's going to hold off until 7 or 8pm.

I hope you slaughter my 14.88 guess Danno. I'm just basing it on what I've seen trucks here doing. I'll be very pleased if you prove me wrong!

I guessed what I believed to be a little high so I wouldn't have to worry about that hug you threatened us with! :jester:

I know you have a verter, that is why I said you are running a 3k stall and he was running a stock stall. I would think the verter would make up for the extra 250lbs? plus ur cam is a bit bigger. :dunno:
